				PB 360 Ivory vs Dirt

I know that when I was first looking at the PB360 in the Ivory/Pearl/white color that I worried about it looking dirty after a while. I am happy to report that after almost a year it does not appear to be showing dirt. It still looks a pretty Ivory color. The buttons do not appear to have discolored over time from use.

I have the ivory too, 9 months more or less... and it looks like the first day I bought it, reading everyday and without special care.

For me, this is good design too. |

I agree. My ivory 360 is as clean as it was the day I opened the box and I use it for hours each day.

The only thing I would say is that my ivory shows every little scratch. I'm not rough with it, so I've got no idea where the scratches came from, but the bottom of the device has multiple noticeable straches. The cover is scratch-free from what I can tell. I'd still buy the ivory over the black, it's really pretty, and comfortable to read with. It's one fo my prized possessions

The ivory is a bit "girly" to my mind. I prefer the black

My black 360 is in excellent condition, except for two short, light marks on the back; in fact, they're barely visible.

I like the squares on my black unit, because I'm a square. ![]() The PocketBook 360 has taken over the duties from my Astak Pro. My Kindle 3 is my Reader of choice. My Kindle 2 and Sony 505 just sit in a drawer. Don |

I looked at all three, and this is my take on the screens: The Sony 505 and the PocketBook 360 look almost the same, except there's a hint of "grain" on the Sony. I wouldn't say the Sony is clearer than the PocketBook 360. They really look almost the same to me. The Astak compared to the PocketBook 360 (which, for me, is an easier assesment to make in that the screens are the same size) appears to be just a tad darker than the PocketBook. This is really not that noticeable, and doesn't detract (for me) at all from the Astak Pocket Pro. The Astak is a fine Reader, but it has an outdated look to me. I like the feel of the PocketBook 360 much better, regardless of the screen on both units. For me, the PocketBook 360 seems more "elegant" in the way things are implemented. I much prefer the form factor of the PocketBook 360. The one thing I don't like are those butterfly wing controls. But hey! That's just me! ![]() ![]() Hope this helps. ![]() Don |

The Astak Pocket Pro and the Pocketbook 360 use the same eInk screen, so you'd certainly expect them to look the same.

The PB360 has a system-level EMBOLDEN option that makes text darker. (Without disrupting document-level bold or bold itallic.)
