Grettings from a potential Nook Color buyer
The wife has had a Kindle for six months or so and while it is a great device, I think I'd like to be able to do more. A little light surfing while watching TV, checking email, and I'd really like to be able to read some comics. I know the NC does not have an app for reading comics, but from what I've read there is a Calibre conversion process that isn't too painful. Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

At the moment there are only two color readers that I know of: the Color Nook and Aluratek's Color Libra. There are two major differences that i can see amoung these two options for color readers: 1) The Color Nook is touch and the Color Libra is not and; 2) The Color nook costs $250 and the Color Libra is $200. So you need to ask yourself is the touch screen worth an extra $50?

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome! It is refreshing to find such a warm and friendly bunch.

At the wife's urgings, I've gone over to the dark side and bought an iPad. I know it isn't primarily a reader, but I think it will fill our needs better. Thanks to all again!

I had a Sony 600, but the screen broke . Now I bought the 602pro. I just got it. So I wonder what I can do with it. I am dutch but the reader is still in English. I thought there was a dutch user interface, dutch dictionaries and dutch text to speech program. I could not find them on my 602 :-(
I use calibre and that works fine with the 602.
