Could someone post some pictures of the Gen3 in the black cover? I'd love to see what it looks like.

Thanks!

I must say, the speed with which they extracted their money from my CC account, led me to think they were a remarkably efficient outfit.
Unfortunately, subsequent events are leading me to revise my opinion somewhat.
Hahahah. But in all seriousness, almost all of the payment portals take the money out as soon as possible. This is to make sure that the customer has indeed paid for their product before they even start the whole packing and shipping process.

Can't complain much about that. And hey, we also all agreed to wait a bit before getting our devices. Playing the waiting game can be fun, if it's going to be delivered before christmas.

Mine just arrived here in Canada. I got the black cover. It looks nice to me. The Cybook is so slim I almost missed it under the leather cover in the package.

The total cost for fees was $19.55. It was listed as a book with a value of $200 on the forms. This was a relief for me. Saved me a few dollars from what I was fearful of.

It is charging up now. I will give my impressions later.

Ditto experience. Black cover, too. Liver remains.

Another thing it would have been nice to hear about from Bookeen. Instead, their FAQ says

Once your order has been shipped you receive your tracking number by email. By clicking the tracking number you can trace the progress of the package.
Which is slightly (and, I admit, only slightly) misleading. I feel like a kid waiting for -- impatient as hell because I just know it's going to be great!

(I have a new appreciation for the slogan "Wherever. Whenever. With Fedex.com"...)

Well, they initially said it would be shipped on Dec 5th; and then said they shouldn't have said that.
Then they said it'd be sent on 12th for delivery on 13th - but now I discover its gone AWOL.

But, things go wrong in the best businesses, and I can understand if I got unlucky this time.

However, I do think Bookeen could do more to keep customers informed.
They could use their blog to let us know what's going on ("To keep you informed, visit Bookeen's blog") - but they don't .
They could acknowledge receipt of emails - but they don't.

That's the disappointing aspect imho.

Currently, I have no idea where I stand with my Bookeen order; and I'm not seeing much help coming my way.
I'm sure the Cybook is a great device; but if this is typical of Bookeen customer support; I think I'd settle for just getting my money back.

Stick with it, Sparrow. I know it's a huge disappointment (I'd have been gutted if it had happened to me ) but it really is worth it in the end, believe me.

Hope that Bookeen get you sorted ASAP.

Sorry to hear that Sparrow, I really feel your pain because I have been multiple times in the same situation. I hope it will get sorted out for you very soon!

Are there more people that got a email from FedEx and can tell me what their order number is (~). I have 64xx and I'm very curious where I stand in line.

diabloNL, my order number is in the device description to the left. I got my "Package data received" email at about 1:00am on the 11th. No movement on the Fedex site since then.

That's what happened to mine for about a day - package data received at 9:45am on the 10th, but nothing actually shipped out until quite late on the 11th, probably 30+ hours later. After that it moved incredibly fast, however. So hopefully yours will, as well.

Thanks Diablo.

My Fed Ex page just updated! The CyBook is in Aubervilliers (France), and should be here tomorrow morning.
So at least the order hasn't disappeared and is back on track, which is good.
But still no reply to my emails, so dunno what the problem was.
Hopefully this was just a glitch, and it's plain sailing from here on.

Sparrow, from what others have said here, you need to email support. The other two addresses you used to send the messages were not to support. And as we know, Bookeen tends to ignore email that is not to support.

Ok, thanks for the advice (and to Loopy65 who also suggested that earlier).

And now I'm in Paris. So delivery tomorrow (to a neighbouring country) is not out of the question. Cool.
