Yes, definitely.

I hardly can believe that the delivery status is such a secret for pocketbooks. I work in a big company in the logistics team and we have every day shipment to and from overseas also from and to China. Pocketbook should have a definite tracking information of their goods. If airfreight is the despatch mode you have an AWB (air way bill) with clear date and time of arrival. Then you have the trucking from and to the airport which is communicated from your shipper. Plus some days of firmwareupdate. Makes it in total not so complicated to give customers a clear understanding of the delivery.

In the Russian forum there was info that some of the **3 had been returned to the factory. I don't know if this is the case here but PB silence proves nothing but immaturity . As a citizen of former eastern country I can understand such behavior but it still irritates me.

I don't see that.
No information why we have to wait.
No information how long.
No information what happening.

For the former USSR there is new shipping date for **3 series - Jan 15 2011. Only the clients of Europe have the chance to receive the devices this year. Or not? PB you are so lucky there is few if any alternatives.
BTW if someone start talking about Sony or Kindle all the PB representative will come here to explain the negligible difference with PB screen but when we need only one raw of info they are so busy.

So, status right now:
1. Device is over a month delayed - best case. In the meantime Pocketbook have been evasive and Pocketgoods has tried telling us what he was told, which was misleading every time.
2. Pocketbook have started pointing fingers at module manufacturer, shipping handler and customs only after frustrated name-calling. Only one of these is plausibly something not to be prepared for, and should have been announced with weeks to spare - none of this passed delivery date nonsense.
3. It appears we've been told there'll be another extra delay to install slightly less out of date firmware, but we'll still need to update on our own since that will be yet another half-done version.
4. Meanwhile other Pocketbook devices aren't up to specifications as sold after six months. The 302 is still marketed as supporting keyboards.

I get the impression I should have cancelled my order already.

I'm considering taking my chance with Sony 950. I didn't want to do that but it seems PB start missing their big advantage - direct communication. Anyway I hope today someone will reveal this enormous secret - shipping date for **3 series. Otherwise it is getting pointless to keep crediting such an attitude with my money /for near 2 months till now/

What would you like us to tell you except the truth? If we give an exact date of arrival, I'm sure that it will be wrong again as the arrival time is not in our power. We have to wait, as well, and believe me, that's not a nice feeling to be completely helpless.

Pocketbook feels totally helpless to give delivery dates?

Hello Pocketbook sales,

my major problem is the reliability of the messages about the delivery to Europe. I don't think that the readers are on their way, I think they have delivery problems from FOXCONN means some parts for production are missing.

Pocketgoods posts 0n the 07-Dec that the "container" has been shipped "last week" which should be 29-Nov to 03-Dec. What type of of delivery did you choose? Airfreight should arrive in one week including the trucking. Sea freight takes up to three weeks. Land transportation from China is really not the best way!! Customs clearance is done by the shipper and should also not take more than one day!

Please give more details on what is wrong with the delivery. My iPhone is also produced at FOXCONN and from APPLE I get tracking information directly from FOXCONN in China to my home in Europe which is precise to the day with the expected delivery date! They use as shipper TNT! And I can track my individual iPhone online.

Nobody asked you to lie. We asked for information on where progress was, and we didn't get it. We asked what the holdup was, and we got no answer. When someone lost their temper was the first time I saw you mention the 3g module issues, yet that is obviously pre-assembly - it couldn't possibly have been news, but was withheld a long time.
Right now the most specific status information we have (afaik) is that someone told Pocketgoods something supposedly shipped last week, but we didn't even get confirmation on where to (presumably Pocketbook Germany?), let alone how long it might take.
Post #241 is a typical example of this evasive behaviour - the very text quoted asks for a movement update. That issue is pointedly ignored, even though a fair update might've been as simple as "X units shipped to Pocketbook Germany last week" - which would give us two more datums than we have now, without a single bit of new data for you to look up.

Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate you answering the other question, but you've been sidestepping the burning questions gracelessly for quite a while and that is frustrating.

Edit: From digging with google translate into the german forum, it seems Forkosigan has said the shipment is stuck in Singapore (message dated 2010-12-09, thread "Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude ..."). Basically not shipped, that is. Don't know if that's the most recent info, but it's more info than I remember seeing here.

A simple question: is there a chance to hold our devices this year? I'm pretty sure this is not difficult question - just answer, please. Noone said it's easy for you but I took decision to buy 903 based on 2 things 1.Communication with you here in the forum and 2.Shipping terms. Now both are going nowhere but I'm not here to push you - I just need more info to reconsider my order. It is up to you if you /or other from PB staff/ are going to answer - it looks simple to me and no reason to make it harder.

Cancellation of PB 903 PRO order done

I have cancelled my preorder for the PB903 PRO at POCKETGOODS today. Pocketgoods has refund the money they had since 05-Nov immediately. Now the economical risk of delivery is not any longer on my side but on the side of PB.

When I review the change of the delivery situation at the PB902 when the "container" arrived the delivery time dropped from some weeks to todays 3-4 working days. This might also happen with the PB903. Let's see when the mysterious "container" with PB903 arrives. At this time I consider to order a PB903 again. Or maybe a ASUS DR-900?!

It makes me feel sad that there is no other possibility to react on the lack of information but by cancellation.

Good luck for all waiting enthusiasts!!!

I have just read in the guestbook of Pocketgoods that the container with 600 devices will arrive on Friday and delivery will start next week. Let's hope this is true!

Hello everyone,

anyone here knows if there's an italian reseller of Pocketbook 902 so I can check with my own eyes how I would feel with it before to buy it?...Or at least, in Switzerland if there are none in Italy?...

Thanks,
Ciao
Luigi
