No I'm not smart enough to think up something like that!

It was my 3 yr old - messing with my computer while I was on the phone. Will teach me to leave my browser open unattended.

I am ECSTATICALLY happy that I don't have cats or any pets for that matter.

that works for some people, but the few times I have been animal-less my life has been lacking.

I think there was less than one week of my life, back when my first cat died (had dogs before that, living in my parents house), that I was animal-less. I was miserable and the house was SO EMPTY. I went and adopted two kittens as soon as I could. Having animals enables me to talk to myself without thinking I'm completely insane!

basic training was tough, but the worst was not having a fuzzy to interact with. the worst parts of my military service were all animal deficient periods

You aren't completely insane. You simply want to talk to the most intelligent person available.

And there is no way to tell whether you personally like a book or not without actually reading it. There have been plenty of books which I've read which have had rave reviews and I go back after reading the book and wonder what the other readers saw that I didn't!

Unfortunately I have to read a book all the way through, no matter how bad I find it. Sometimes I end up getting a pleasant surprise if the book really picks up and I love it when that happens. But normally it's just not enjoyable all the way through.

Samples are a good idea when you actually get a decent sample that is. I've read plenty where I've thought "Thank God I didn't buy that!"

Better luck with the next read

keep guessing, it's fun!

Nope, it's not the girl, the movies were very good, but I haven't started the books yet.

The Glittering Vampires I haven't heard of (unless it's a funny name for one of the popular series out there).

I saw all three movies in a marathon-movie-night; I just loved it, but didn't read the books as yet.
