I'm sorry. I feel your pain. A cat I had when I was kid had chronic diarrhea all her life. Could never get it in the box but could hit the wall at 10 paces. It was awful! Now, over 10 years later, it's pretty funny. Mind you, I didn't have to clean it

fortunately she gets it in the box, it stinks to high heaven and I have to think it must be an annoyance even though she flies about like a bat out of hell when she and Strider are playing

You gotta be tough and keep her on the boiled rice & chicken - for at least 7-10 days - otherwise it will keep coming back! Been there, dealt with it ... you can't cheat on the number of days ... even if they put out a contract on you or try to maul the couch. Bland bulky diet.

Yeah - I just combined the rice in its water with the boiled chicken in its water - and dumped it all in the cat's bowl.
[If looks could kill, I'd be typing this from beyond the grave.]

Last word was that the woman was trying to tell the police that I was going in reverse and ran into her...

(Note for non-riders: only the very large touring bikes have a reverse gear, and those move extremely slowly using the starter motor only.)

Insurance company will be here in a couple of hours to drop off the rental bike. I'm excited to see what they will bring.

That is precisely what occurred.
But, several years ago a drunk driver totaled our car, which was legally parked at a meter while we were in a nearby restaurant, yet we were responsible for 30% of the accident according to the insurance companies. It's an amazing system.

I hope that you solve this dilemma. Our pets are as important to us as our own flesh and blood, and often give us even more pleasure. What does the vet say about this problem?

Whilst our old cats (18 and 16) don't have the runs, a recent food change, to stuff for elderly cats, has them both tooting up a storm. Nothing like being woken up in the morning by a cat bum symphony.

At least your cats have the excuse of having their food changed. My cat has no excuse for his foulness

Is it working? My cats are 17 now, and both have always been thin (and not particularly food-driven). I'm having trouble keeping their weight up, and mostly resort to bits of rotisserie chicken supplementing their dry food. (I know they should be on canned food now, but honestly, they won't eat it!) I hadn't thought about kitten food, though.

Felicity the Kitty has just been diagnosed with Age-related Renal problems and has had to make a switch in foods too. While she gets the same wet food in the evening, we've switched her daily dry food to a veterinary renal one. It must be good as it costs 5X as much as the Purina she's lived on for the past 8 years. We can purchase it from a pet food warehouse, thank God, as buying it from the Vet would cost 8X as much!

But poor Felicity no longer can enjoy the little salted dry fishies that were her standard treat. She would sell her soul for just one of these little guppy-sized goodies, and now... no more. We've found other treats, but none has the attention-grabbing effect of those little morsels. The vet said she can still have some sashimi when we are eating it ourselves, but to limit the amounts.

No great change yet ... I'm also giving her B-12 shots too to try & liven up her appetite. She eats like a horse but has not gained any weight yet. At her age, we may need to settle for maintaining her as is - she is still quite active, able to jump & run about, but mostly sleeps either in laps or in the sun patches on the floor.

Try a canned food with either fish oil or liver to entice your cats to switch to soft food - it's the smell that grabs their attention.

We just bought a pet heating pad at the Pet Shop. It's thermostatically controlled, made for animals (the pet shop keeps one in each of it's cages for the puppies and kittens,) so it requires no attention. Just plug it in and forget it. Once the cat discovered it (we placed it on the top shelf of her 'tree,') she has forsaken all other sleeping places except for laps! She hangs out there even when not sleeping and seems to have this big contented grin on her face!
