Is the flyer the OP showed nationwide? The sony website is still showing $299 for the 950. I am ready to go pick one up if they'll honor the 10% student discount in store.

The flyer says the prices are at sonystyle.com/givecheer

A friend of mine is about to call Sony's order line and ask them to honor the flyer price on the 650.

I am getting annoyed. Called the store they are saying the 950 is $299. On the phone, 1800 number, they say 149, but then the guy say it does not know if it is the same in store. I thought all prices from sony should be the same. Well I won't be buying it then.

The flyer was an insert in the Saturday St. Louis Post-Dispatch. What I scanned was a small portion of a multi-page ad. I would expect the prices to be valid at least nation wide. Not sure why the sale price only appears for the 350 on sonystyle.com, so a call may be necessary to get the price.

Sometimes I think Sony's marketing and CS is a master class study of how to fail.

Just wanted to add here that, according to the SonyStyle store, the $150 price for the PRS-350 is valid thru December 25. So if you want a 350 and you're dragging your feet on the recycling program credit (like a certain someone I know ), now's a good time to get off your butt and send that unused reader in for recycling.

The 650 still seems to be at the regular price at the SonyStyle store.
