PRS-950 Has Anyone Received their $199 PRS-950 from B&H - Page 4

The PRS-950 is back in stock as of this morning (mine was finally shipped out).

For people who missed out on the $249 deal, they have a refurbished model that is $259, which is $20 dollars less than it was yesterday. Don't know if they would have many of those units.

edit: looks like they sold out of those refurbs.

How could there possibly be a refurb by manufacturer production so soon? The 950s have been out for what, 2 months?... Yikes... I'm guessing it's open box stuff, and the "Refurbished by the Manufacturer to original company's specifications" text is just included in the template.

Hats off to BH for honoring the deal!

Mine is now in transit. Getting excited. At a time I almost considered canceling. Now I'am glad I waited. 199 is a fine price although it amounts to almost approx 280 before it finally arrives here in Denmark. Go go go UPS...

My 950 shipped today, and B&H honored the $199 price.

Mine is also now in transit. Schedule to be delivered by UPS on the 13th!

I really did not mind the early charge since I was able to get it for $199 and not a penny more. I love B&H. In fact that's where I bought my 1st reader, PRS-505 on December of 2007.

Thanks for the "Hats off" comment. FWIW if we say it's a refurb it's a refurb. They're often products sales and tech reps used to demo for retailers or sales training sessions or displayed at trade shows. A smart company will keep that stuff fresh and rotate stock regularly.

Will definitely do more business with B&H in future. In today's world, it is rare to see such sellers who honour thier deal.

My suggestion for charging the card while delivery was for some other reason. I do not have any problem with charging the card while ordering as long as the order will be delivered and not cancelled. For international customer like me, it will help to avoid any forex rate conversion losses between the time of debt and credit back to my card.

I am surprise to heard nearly everyone here manage to get their prs950 from B&H photo, but unfortunately except me.
For me the sutiation seem to be a little complicated, because I live in Canton, and I don’t have payment for US website shopping directly. I have been looking for an e-ink reader as a gift for a long time. So when I knew B&H have selling prs-950 for $199 last month, I went for a agent merchant (I mean someone can help you to buy things oversea and offer shipping) to order one for me on Nov 15th. And got the order No.#xxxxx45744. After that I was hopeful that everything will be OK. Until received a B&H Photo Cancel Confirmation email on Dec 1st. And my middleman said that he could not help much in this case. By Reading the forwarded email in which didn’t explain any reason and without negotiation, It make me disappointed and even a little anger , if they have email me earlier “Sorry We could not finish your order because …Would you consider another store…” before Nov 27th, that would be fine I’ll purchase in another webstore before the bigsales end. Only 10 days later, B&H have prs-950 in stock again. What would you think of it?
Now I visit here by chance, register and reply this post. I feel I am the very few unlucky ones. A bit ridiculous , isn’t it? I am still finding another suitable place to buy a 950 rather than B&H.
I hope I wrote down these words above could be well understood.:-)

I do not know how to help you, but the mention of a " B&H Cancel Confirmation" makes me wonder if your agent might have initiated the cancellation, especially since no one else has reported B&H canceling orders.
