I know that's always the question, but I will say that I've bought, or helped to buy, three (or four?) refurbished ipods from the Apple store over the past few years, and they've all worked out great. I don't think anybody in my family has ever bought a new one.

Jumping up and down squealing! I went to the Danamaniacs chat last night. (The Danamaniacs are Dana Stabenow's online fan club, for those who aren't as obsessed as I am.) Dana herself stopped in and a good time was had by all. Up for grabs were two ARC's of the latest Kate Shugak book (that won't be released until February.) I WON ONE OF THE ARCs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It does appear that the warranty is still the same 12-months on hardware so there's always that.

Well, you're half right, Deb, LOL. Dana Stabenow is an author, yes. But the Kate books would not be classified as Cozies...rather as Mystery/Thrillers. Kate Shugak is an Aleut Indian, a private investigator, who lives in Alaska with her half-wolf dog, Mutt. There's some violence, a LOT of snark, and well, to put it in perspective, Dana is one of the only authors I would (and have) paid hard back prices for an ebook of her latest release. An ARC is an Advanced Reader's Copy. Here's Dana's site...

My PSR-600 is a refurb, and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it.

Too bad their Reader Library software for the PC wasn't a refurb. But it hasn't acted up in a while, either.
