Yes, he was. I'm remembering, too, that quite a few of the people on here were not yet born in 1980. I was 23.

I caught several specials on Lennon yesterday and I suddenly realized it was about that time. My good friend was born on that day, but 10 years before Lennon was shot.

I'm sitting on the couch, taking a cleaning/packing break, and my husband has put some show on that looks like a reality show to follow Gene Simmons and his family? His son looks like him. His daughter looks like his wife. I have no idea why I'm watching.

Eating very addictive caramel corn. Gave up on putting up the big Christmas tree, and went and got a fiber optic tabletop model instead. (I'd forgotten that also in front of our dining room window is a heat vent. Might not be a smart idea to put a Christmas tree on top of that...). Also put lights up in the dining room window (which faces the street). I had enough mini size ornaments for the tabletop size tree, but I need a smaller tree topper!!
