Great work though! I've already converted a few of my other mangas!
ehm... that was some time ago... i believe it was resize based on landscape and then autorotate off and default width.

Thanks for this great app, I've had my reader for about a week and I've already read about 24 volumes of manga that I just didn't have the time to read before. I was wondering if there was a way to resize the images so that it filled the reader's screen the same way that comiclrf does?
I've tried using comiclrf, but have had no luck in getting it to put out a valid lrs file and I loathe running a program through command prompt and would prefer using this program.

How does comiclrf fills the screen then? Manga2Ebook creates image-PDFs that fits the height or width of the reader already. Running the PDFs through pdfrasterfarian or pdfread would create the right size lrf files, so...

From the sample posted in the comiclrf thread, it looks like comiclrf can be set to resize the image so that it fills the readers screen without preserving the images original aspect ratio. It distorts the image a little in order to do it (kind of like watching a "full-screen" tv show on a widescreen tv) but there's less unused space on the reader's screen. I was wondering if there was a way to achieve the same affect using manga2ebook. Not that I'm complaining about the program, but it would be helpful for some scanlations I have that have smaller fonts in some places (sound efx, etc.).

Hmm... no, i skipped that "simple resizing" option completely while developing because I wouldn't think anyone would need it..
It's actually very easy to implement that though, at least there doesn't have to have those annoying ratio-calculations...

I'd implement it if I could, but it seems I've lost the .net project files during a computermishap
With some luck I still have a backup somewhere, but I have to dig it up. If I can't i'll recreate the project with newer features...

Ah lucky.. I was able to find a backup. It's a few versions back, but it's better than rebuild it from scratch...

A new version has been made available:
http://kmfstudio.com/new_manga2ebook_version.html

changelog:

* added batch-feature
* contrast/normalize image setting (higher contrast)
* custom filefilters
* settings are saved upon exit
* resize option “no aspect ratio” added (it will resize the image based on width AND height: maximum usage of the screen)

I've changed the settings to "resize by landscape" and all panels are fit to width. The PDF-module will then try to fit as many images into one page as possible.
That looks excellent.

is there anyway I can split the image into 2 pages? Some of my manga are scanned with two pages in one image.

not with manga2pdf. Because it can't tell with certainty WHERE to split.

You're better off making a doublesized PDF and then split it with one of the pdf-convertors if you really want to.

oh... usually the split will just split in the middle of a landscape image.

I know this thread is old, but I am running into an issue. It creates the pdf and everything. The error I am getting is this:

The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
converting 162 of 158: mute-06-22.jpg

On every image, but it still creates the pdf...with no images. The correct amount of pages for images...but nothing.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Do you have imagemagick installed? Every step of manga2ebook stands on it's own. De-archiving, preparing images and PDF-creation.
If preparing the images isn't working, you problably don't have imagemagick installed or the program can't access it.

ok, I have a quick question about all of this... I can convert everything fine from my archives > PDF > lrf... now when I put it all on my Sony PRS505 reader the books just seem so large (one volume can have over 200 pages). Now, each volume of manga has many chapters within it (10 chapters or so). Is there any way for me to get a table of contents in there?? Ideally, I'd like to have Volume 1 as a whole book and Chapters 1-xx as chapters that i can navigate to with a table of contents... How can I get a table of contents in there to navigate the chapters easier??
