Calibre Problem Umlaute

Die fertigen Dateien von Calibre, werden bei mir ohne Umlaute gespeichert, aus ä wird a, aus ö wird o und aus ß wird ein Fragezeichen etc.
Alle Texteinstellungen im Computer sind auf UTF-8 gestellt und werden auch immer ordentlich angezeigt, nur Calibre macht Probleme.
Auch in Calibre steht alles auf UTF-8
Wo könnte ich da etwas einstellen?

Ich arbeite mit einem Mac.

Entschuldige, ich vergaß diesen Thread wieder.

Ich tippe mal drauf, dass irgendwo doch noch eine falsche Codeseite benutzt wird. Guck Dir doch mal die HTML- Zwischenstufe an (Unterpunkt Fehlersuche in den Konvertierungseinstellungen). Im Header der HTML- Dateien müßte irgendwo auch die verwendete Codeseite stehen. Wenn die nicht mit der tatsächlichen Codeseite übereinstimmt, könnte es zu dem Verhalten, das Du beobachtest, kommen.

Edit zum Anfügen: Wenn Du kannst, guck auch direkt in den Quelldateien nach, sofern die HTML enthalten.

Hallo. Leider wurde es bei mir auch etwas später.

Also, ich habe jetzt mal alles durchprobiert.

Zuerst, ich habe einen Sony PRS-505.

Zweitens, sowohl bei lrf, wie auch bei epub treten folgende Probleme auf.

Bestimmte Sonderzeichen, nicht alle, werden nicht oder falsch dargestellt.
Dazu zählen bei lrf fast alle Sonderzeichen der deutschen Sprache ä, ö, ü und ß, aber nicht die Probleme wie bei epub, wie folgt.

Bei epub ist es etwas weniger, da sind es Spezialzeichen, wie ` ´ oder ...
(mindestens 3 Punkte) und einige andere.

Beim direkten Import des rtf in den Sony Reader, werden alle Zeichen richtig dargestellt, also alle Umlaute,Akzent, Pünktchen

Quelle ist rtf.


Das ist für mich der Beweis, daß es nicht am Reader liegt, sondern an Calibre in
Zusammenhang mit der Quelle evtl.
Allerdings die Quelle in Winword und auch in Open Office Writer gelesen ist einwandfrei.

Einstellungsänderung von UTF-8 auf andere Formate haben nichts gebracht.

Für mich ist daher Calibre in vielen Fällen unbrauchbar.

Wie gesagt, guck Dir mal an, was in den HMTL- Files der Zwischenstufe für eine Codeseite steht. Ich tippe mal drauf, dass da irgendwo das Problem liegt. Calibre rät wohl auch, wenn die Angabe fehlt, gelegentlich mal, welche benutzt wird, und liegt auch gelegentlich mal daneben.

Sonst wäre noch ein guter Tip, mal im Calibre- Forum zu fragen. Da gibts mehr Leute als nur mich, und auch welche mit mehr Ahnung

Ich werde mich mal im englischen Forum umsehen.

1. html sagt "Encodung Unicode UTF-8
2. Problem: In den Einstellungen, wenn ich auf das Dreieck Ausgabeoptionen klicke, stürzt Calibre ab. Und zwar immer! Komplett, es wird geschlossen und ein Fehlerbericht taucht auf, der an Apple gesendet werden soll. Was dort drinnen steht, sagt mir aber nichts.

Hallo Manichean,

so jetzt habe ich es hinbekommen, dass die Umlaute etc. richtig dargestellt werden, allerdings nur im ePub Format nicht in lrf. Aber das reicht mir.

Ein Problem habe ich noch mit den Schriftarten.

Zum Beispiel habe ich ein Buch, welches einen großen Umfang hat.
Der Verlag hat sich den "Spaß" gemacht, jedes erste Wort, manchesmal mehrere Worte, in einem neuen Absatz als Kapitälchen (KAPITÄLCHEN bzw. als Versalien) = Großbuchstaben, aber kleiner als normale Großbuchstaben darzustellen.

Wäre ja kein Problem, aber jeder erste Absatz wird dann nach der Umwandlung in Kleinbuchstaben dargestellt.

Händisch umwandeln bei 96 Kapiteln? Kann man vergssen.

Kann man Calibre irgendwie beibringen, was Kapitälchen sind, damit die dann akzepziert werden und ebenso dargestellt werden.

Die Formatierungen im Buch sollten eigentlich auch bei einer Konvertierung erhalten bleiben. Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, sind Kapitälchen spezielle Eigenschaften der Schriftart... Wenn die also keine zur Verfügung stellt, werden auch keine angezeigt. Sollte das allerdings via Schriftgröße und gesperrt groß gelöst sein (was ich mir eigentlich nicht vorstellen kann, weil die ja nach der Konvertierung in Kleinbuchstaben erscheinen), hilft ein Herumspielen mit den Schriftgrößeoptionen der Konvertierung jeweils.

Auch hier mag ein Blick auf das XHTML oder das CSS der ePubs helfen. Wähle am Besten ein ePub- Buch in Calibre aus, mache einen Rechtsklick darauf und wähle "ePub bearbeiten" aus, dann bekommst Du ein Verzeichnis mit den darin enthaltenen Dateien angezeigt. Achtung dabei: Solltest Du die Dateien ändern, wird das ePub entsprechend auch geändert, wenn Du es dann wiederherstellst.

Wie hast du denn das Problem mit den Umlauten gelöst?
Wenn ich eine ePub Datei mit einem Umlaut im Titel an meinen Opus sende, werden die Umlaute im Titel nämlich immer abgewandelt! Ä zu A; Ü zu U usw... Im Fließtext ist alles in Ordnung, nur im Dateinamen kriegs ichs nicht gebacken...

Hallo Flaragnar,

eigentlich recht einfach, mit Open Office writer und dann nicht über rtf sondern über odt, das originäre Format von Open Office. Das macht übrigens auch das file kleiner als bei rtf.
Ich habe dabei erstmals die Version 7.3.1 verwendet, vielleicht lag es auch daran.
Ich habe jetzt saubere Umlaute sowohl bei den Titeln, wie bei den Sammlungen.

Das betrifft allerdings nur meinen Sony PRS-505, obwohl das eigentlich beim ePub keine Rolle spielen dürfte.
