Calibre Server: convert to supported format

Would it be possible to add the following feature:

When browsing library through server (from kindle, for example), to have an option to convert existing book to supported format (e.g. mobi)? I'll submit a ticket if it's seems doable... Thank you!

no, the server is a readonly process.

But couldn't the server-process still be a readable one, if the desired target format is converted 'on the fly' and directly pushed as a download?

Nothing would ever have to be written on disk! It would be very helpful if some few desired formats could be predefined to be available as a converted download. Keep up the good work! Regards fodiator |

I'm a big fan of calibre server. I'd love to see the server be able to convert content. Is this on the future roadmap? Thanks, Alan |

If you need format X, why not make sure it exists before hand? (Pre use conversion rather than depend on 'On Demand')
