Actually, you dirty minded kids, it is that "I am pot two" that got me excited. There was a scotch whiskey called VAT 69.

They could write: Tried to be pot two but just missed. R.I.P.

I was simply thinking it could have been a blend created in 69. any dirty brought to the party is the responsibility of the bearer

I just learned this:

are often prepared with more leaves, and more delicate high
grown teas such as a Darjeeling are prepared with a little less
(as the stronger mid-flavors can overwhelm the champagne notes)."

A bit of fact and fantasy;
The Earl Grey blend is named after the 2nd Earl Grey, British Prime Minister in the 1830s and author of the Reform Bill of 1832, who reputedly received a gift, probably a diplomatic perquisite, of tea flavored with bergamot oil, taken from bergamot, a citrus fruit typical of Southeast Asia and grown commercially in Italy.

Jacksons of Piccadilly claim they originated Earl Grey's Tea, Lord Grey having given the recipe to Robert Jackson & Co. partner George Charlton in 1830. According to Jacksons the original recipe has been in constant production and has never left their hands. Theirs has been based on China tea since the beginning.

Jacksons of Piccadilly used to sell a very nice English Breakfast tea, but I haven't seen it on the market in quite some time. In fact, other than their Earl Grey, I haven't seen ANY Jackson's of Piccadilly teas being sold! I wonder why...

Cold coffee. Freezing outside and snowstorm. Nearly 8 o'clock. Have to gather courage to cycle to work. Hope the bicycleroads are clear. Brrrrr

Only work outside one day a week; so that's not too bad.
