If you move to Florida and you're real old, I think that you're allowed to run people over a certain number of people when they walk in front of you. Check before you move there though.

My car rant is with drivers that stop while in the middle of the road to let me walk across the street.

1) I ain't THAT old.
2) I've seen a cop step into the street and get hit because he assumed that everybody could see him (the cop didn't stop to look). Lucky for both the driver and him it was a light tap and only knocked him down.
3) Last winter a guy in a wheelchair rolled in front of me, knowing I had to stop for him . The problem was that I drive a full size van while working. The guy passing me on the left couldn't see the wheelchair guy until the wheelchair guy pulled past my front end. Luckily for the wheelchair guy, he wasn't hit. But I would have gladly taken time off from work to defend the guy that almost hit the idiot in the wheelchair. His criminal stupidity should be punished. (If you think that I'm a sick SOB for that attitude, imagine if the driver swerved and hit someone else.)

Hey, I was being nice. I could have offered her a sheet of plastic, a tin cup, and a pebble, and suggested she distill her own!

With the two tanks, all she has to do is mix them a bit.

One cup of hydrogen and two cups Oxygen... stir well.

Want to get upset? Just try talking with a travel agent three weeks before Christmas and try to book flights and hotels for Christmas week, especially when trying to go to locations that are in 'high season' for Christmas week!

Erm, actually, it's 2 cups of each; then, when it goes blooie in the reaction process it spills (gives off) one cup of the oxygen. Hence, H2O. Pretty "radical" if you ask me...

Oh-oh... I sense a 'chemistry joke' in there....
Is 'blooie' a technical term?

My geometry teacher would accept AAFCPS (As Any Fool Can Plainly See) -- but only when it was truly totally obvious. Also by his estimate, not ours. Same loss of points when we estimated wrong too.

He also gave 2x your points back any time he marked something wrong when it was actually correct. This was a challenge to the students: we tried everything to come up with confusing-but-correct solutions to problems. Clever prof got us to do tons of extra work for remarkably few extra points.

“Obvious” — has been proved true (after two weeks and fifty pages...)
