Explain? Like, a rough recipe on how they differ? I only know about "spanish rice" .... the old stereotype, not necessarily what real Spanish have! But what's Mexican consist of?

The Spanish population is big here, but the menus are totally uninspired. To me it's generic mexican home cooking. And mamá is not always a good cook.

Why, when you are in a retail parking lot, and you stop for people crossing from the store to the aisle, do they walk DIAGONALLY in front of you instead of straight across??

My current favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch is a little non-chain restaurant near my sister's house that has an inexpensive buffet frequented by the local Hispanic population, and by me. They have a few things on the buffet that you don't see at the chain restaurants, like these (see pic). It's Mexican rice pudding (arroz con leche) and some interesting jello things. They are really grabbed up when they are put on the bar, so of course I always grab them too. I'm always up for a food adventure. (That bottom jello looks as if it is meat-flavored, doesn't it? It kind of had the texture of vienna sausage. Tasted good, though.)

It was the Rice-a-Roni from a box version. ]

Main difference was no diced tomatoes in the Mexican version.

That's why we all need manual shift vehicles. We can rev the engine, pop the clutch, then hit the break and 'crow hop.' Scares the bejesus out of pedestrians right in front of you.

waiting sucks!!!! Thats my short rant for tonight. I am waiting on the release date for my new book, still 2 weeks away and also waiting on some reviews...I hate waiting, and waiting, and waiting...it takes a lot out of you...OK, I feel better now, thanks for letting me complain a bit.
