PRS-950 Has Anyone Received their $199 PRS-950 from B&H

I received mine a week ago, but I got to it just before they were back ordered. (Well, /I/ didn't receive it, the person who got it for me for Christmas did, but close enough.)

Please excuse my possible english mistakes, I'm french. I recently ordered my sony PRS 950 with the official black cover, 3 days ago i think. Unfortunately, as you mentionned, both were ever backordered and i don't know when B&H is going to have new stocks, I Feel so impatient to have it in my hands, the device as such an agressive look, the design looks just awesome ( in comparison with other Sony products like the PS move which is not a success on that point of view).

I don't know if I will receive it in the next few weeks but i hope so, I have returned my kindle 3 to Amazon for a full refund in order to get the Sony device which I found quasi perfect, the kindle that I used for two weeks is a great device but i became fond of the Sony touch Screen and the extra inch, moreover the touchscreen does not sacrifice the screen's quality... a very good point because the sony's glare made me choose the Kindle.

I look at my email inbox every to see if there is a B&H notification that both products are availlable.

I got one question for those who have the PRS 950, is there a french translation of the "OS" of the device? It would be even better.

Must have been more then 5 days ago

After the price mix up they seemed to remove the model for the time being, if i enter it in the search all i find is a lighted cover, no actual device. And so... Im getting ready to order mine from adorama, but i realise that even they dont have the device in stock (?) right?

I hope you all get your prs950's for the 199 that you ordered them for, its good to know that sometimes the consumer gets lucky

A message just to notice that I received a notification from B&H photo which said that the cover for the sony PRS 950 is in stock. It is still not the case for the device itself. B&H took my money from my acccount yesterday so I suppose that my order is going to be shipped in the next few days.

Thanks ShowTime25, I had no idea, but thanks to you I now got 2 places to choose from, either adorama or B&H B&H is a little better because I can order the sony cover at the same time, adorama only has the zipper case

I ordered from BH early on 11/13 while the site still showed "in stock". It arrived 11/16 with shipment by air. The $199 price was honored without any comment. Hope you get yours soon!

This makes me feel better. I love my PRS-900 but I bought it at Best Buy last December for $359 and then less then 3 months later they were selling for $299. I did not plan to get the PRS-950 until I could get it at a great price.

I ordered Sunday night, at that time the order status showing"waiting for stock", it came as "back ordered" after several days.

One question---one the order summary page, there is a instant rebate note for 50$, which expires after 27th, I am afraid that this 199.99 thing will blow off after 27th. The payment was already made, will they charge me another 50$ if 950 before shipping after 27th?

No, your price will remain the same if they ship it. They would not increase the price on an order placed except to cancel it. But as others have stated in this thread, they have receive their PRS-950, so I guess so will we when they are back in stock.
