![]() What I've done is simply: <p><img alt="Cover_Name" src="../Images/Cover_Name.jpg" width="100%" /></p> Which appears to me to work just fine. But, if it's really that simple, I think somebody else would have figured that out a long time ago. Thus, I assume there's some good reason why this is a bad (or at least sub-optimal) approach. Can someone please explain?

I'd add only that jellby's solution is also Liz Castro's solution, which solves the ADE 1/4-image problem in the ADE reader. I use max-width, myself.

Hey, DTM:
The moderately infamous ADE "1/4 image problem" is that in ADE desktop Reader, ADE will only display the upper-quarter of a book cover, as the thumbnail, if you don't use the max-width setting for the image tag, as shown by Jellby. I don't really know why it happens, other than ADE is a royal PITA. Setting the image tag as shown eliminates that problem, and the entire img is shown as the thumbnail. HTH, Hitch |

Thanks, Hitch. I've never seen that, but I don't use ADE all that much. I just checked it on one of my books that uses "width" instead of "max-width" and it was OK. Maybe Adobe fixed it.
Now, if they could just figure out how to center a horizontal rule.... |
