Don't tell KK but right now, it only exists in theory...

(Well, truth be told, I do have hundreds of pages of individual recipes, but haven't any idea how to put them together into an e-book. I've printed them out before, and had them bound at a QuickCopy, but never tried to make an e-book. I don't even know the first step!)

I'll figure it out... I hope. Right now I've got an magazine editor who is pushing me for copy and photos about the bike licensing experience. My wife says I have to pay the rent.

I dunno, you scan them in, and do some sort of magic with some sort of software, and voila! a perfect e-book! (Okay, I don't know how either. )

It sounds like you've already got the basics, if the recipes are on your computer. Throw them into Word (or word processing program of choice), arrange them how you want them, and then save as RTF. Then you can put the RTF into calibre and convert to ePub, mobi, or whatever. You're not actually writing a book, you're just arranging what you already have, right?

Hey, that sounds doable. Stitchawl, are you listening? Just start with a nice cup of tea, and go from there!

Yeah... I just got back from Leaf Peeping in the mountain north of Kyoto, logged in and saw it! I think I can almost figure it out now...

...if I can figure out how to open Word.

(Some folks are computer 'literate.' I'm computer 'see Spot run.')

Chocolate works. Black licorice doesn't. Oddly enough, natural licorice roots is good too!

KK, ever use natural licorice root to bit-break horses? Works great!

we used molasses on rubber bits when we used bits. I was always taught to break to bosal and/or hackamore and only go to the bit when absolutely required

We HAD to use bit AND curb chain... when ever the boss was around.
I think those days influenced my adult love of corn. I always kept a pocket full of corn to give as a treat, and used to keep a kernel or two in my own mouth as something to chew on. These days I eat popcorn almost every night.

I'm just glad I wasn't seal trainer...

For lunch I had a bowl of brown rice with a boiled egg broken up in it, with a dash of olive oil and some salt and pepper. I got this idea a few months from a local food blogger and it's become one of my standby quick lunches (or breakfast). Works well with leftover brown rice too.
