PocketGoods has promised video comparison between PB602 and Sony650

There is a difference but not so great for me at least. Also you can read in the comment/in Russian/ that if you want PB capabilities with Pearl screen you have to wait till spring.

I can see that Sony is faster at turning pages, but the screen doesn't look that much better. Looking at the video at 4:08, the background actually looks a little better on the 602, but the letters look thinner.

Yes, it is true. But if you do like thicker (darker) letters, you can change/install (in some formats) your favorite font. I am not sure PRS allow it to you in its settings.

I did not test PBs FBReader yet. I think it a little bit faster in turning pages as Adobe.. I will test it tonight ... But for me it is not that important

On one laptop I have Vista, so I am used to much slower responses.

Can you use the bluetooth to connect to a keyboard on this model, or on any of the new models?

Wow! Confirmed? This means also that, all others (i.e. being not Amazon or Sony) will have to wait till summer to put Pearl (gold priced?) screen over their devices???

Incredible. All moving around these new screens is terribly suspicious, both technically and commercially.

Pocketbook should attempt to modify and add hyphenation to ePUB files, as I suggested to Bookeen, too ... I understand PB can read ePub files either using ADE or FBReader, but as today (even being a very bad and limited options reader program) Adobe one is the only having reasonable ePub support over E-Ink devices and showing the files "as you should see it".

I don't understand because so few people complaint about hyphenation, being such a basic and need feature for reading... maybe european languages or readers have much more rules or are more used to, as well as words being larger and need to split better and more.

Unfortunatelly I don't have any bluetooth keyboard here to test that functionality.. I hope the guys from Kiev designed (or will design) its software to work with bluetooth keyboards as they promised already. Anyway it was intended and must be done. Bluetooth is installed in all new PB Pro readers for some purpose.

Excellent video! Thank you - it is exactlly the type of comparison I have been waiting for. The screen wasn't quite as good, but not enough to make a big difference to me.

The page turning is a big deal to me though, so a test of FBReader would be great. Do you know if FBReader on a Pocketbook supports a table of contents like Adobe? My reader doesn't, but I don't think it's a full version.

Obviously the 903 delivery is postponed till mid December. What I couldn't find out whether this refers to the Russian market only. We have to know for sure so some official info is more than needed.

the UK site is still showing availability from 20th November, pocketgoods is still showing the 25th (and there is something obviously wrong here), it would be good is somebody in the know were to give us more reliable details.

After all, dear guys at Pocketbook, we "pre-orderers" are those who will spread the word of mouth if we are happy with the good and the service, so you should be looking after us...
