Chinese workers build 15-story hotel in just six days

A construction crew in the south-central Chinese city of Changsha has completed a 15-story hotel in just six days.

It took six days to build this level 9 Earthquake-resistant, sound-proofed, thermal-insulated 15-story hotel in Changsha, complete with everything, from the plumbing & wiring to triple pane windows.

I don't know how bad it is there. And I don't know how bad it is here either. I have no idea what's on TV anymore. My computer screen is better to watch movies if I want them. The same with DVD series from the History Channel, etc.

I will say that some European commercials are great and some Japanese videos are so bad that they're hilarious. The Supper Bowl commercials are the only thing that the US has to compete with. And many of those aren't worth watching.

Tom Sharpe posted it on the previous page, but it's worth seeing it again. I can't believe that people actually will stand this close to a 15 foot lizard with sharp teeth that can travel 30mph from a standing start!

Oops. Sorry. Thanks Tom.....

You are right about the alligators. I wouldn't be anywhere near them...they are way faster than most people are aware...

when I was pregnant with my daughter we were at Ft. Benning Georgia while my husband was going through Officer's Advance Training. during his field portion I was bored to tears (not to mention that I intensely disliked the area), and got in touch with my mother in law (I've had 3 just off of one father in law, it gets complicated, but she was the first and my husband's mother), I had only met wife #2, she was #1. anyway she was living in a backwater (heheh) little town on the Florida gulf coast and I took my 4 year old son and went to meet her. on my second to the last day down there she decided that we would have a barbecue at her favorite swimming hole. the son unit and I had been happily paddling around in the water on and off for a couple of hours. I had been hearing barking on and off the entire time and finally asked her where the dogs were as we were pretty rural and I could not see any houses. she walked me up to the water line and pointed past a little island; "see those logs?" "yeah." "well those are 'gators and they bark." from wherre I stood the 'gators appeared to be in excess of 30 feet long. I pretty much walked on water, pulled the son unit out of it, retreated to the van, and without quite calling her a crazy cracker bitch, demanded that we leave instantly.

I still shudder when I think about that!

OMG. Why didn't you throw her in the water?
I mean, I'm not a vindictive person, but that would be the limit for me.

I wasn't entirely certain how to get back to her house where my car was?

I was just relieved to have my son and myself in the van out of the water!

LOL!

So you moved to the opposite side of the continent to get away from the gators?

I grew up in central FL, and swam in ponds all childhood long -- pools were for rich people who could afford cable and caller ID. It was assumed that a natural body of water larger than a puddle had a gator in it.

They are, however, notorious cowards. If you're making a ruckus in a clear stretch of shoreline, they'd keep to themselves on the other side of the lake. I have, however seen them leap out of the water as far as that cat was and snatch a small animal (ducks) from shore, but there weren't any larger animals (people) nearby and the gator was hiding in the weeds.

The people in this video I'd classify as "stupid tourists". Either don't hang around them, or run them off. They're begging for trouble by teaching the gators they have nothing to fear from humans -- the cat, however, seems to know better!

no, being in the southeast was an anomaly for me. I grew up in Colorado/New Mexico and have only been in the northwest for about 12 years. I will never voluntarily go to the southeast for longer than 4 or 5 days again
