There are also three oolongs, and four green teas. I did my experimenting years ago and whittled away the dross! ![]() Drinking an extra strong mug of Yorkshire tea and getting ready for my next riding test. 7 degrees out there this morning and I have a 40 minute ride to the test track. Stitchawl |

They call it aged. I asked the sellers, they said 4 years.
I have ordered Imperial Pu-Erh from another online shop, they said it is 8-10 year. We will see. I have only started to test different teas. So, I guess I am in the beginning of a looong way. I have received a parcel tonight. At least half of the teas are unknown to me ![]() All bags are 100gr Code:
2 x Red Rooibos 2 x Roasted Mate 1 x Tokay Apricot 1 x Grenadine 1 x Lapsang Souchong - smoked tea 1 x Mate Coconut Milk ![]() I am very curios about Lapsang Souchong ![]() Any tips on how to brew it? Ninth and the last cuppa for today. Lapacho Last edited by astra; 11-16-2010 at 05:37 PM. |

But. This story of 10-12 espresso(es) a day is way too much. Very expensive also even at 90 cents each or 35 in the office or at home. Espresso is done with steam so it gets all the heavy stuff from the powder. When I was in Bauru, Brazilm, there was a lady in the office whose job was to brew coffee and make the tour offering everybody a cup. She did that continuously. I usually got 14 in a day. But it was done at low temperature, with a lot of powder, I mean a lot. A big spoon for each tiny cup. Very nice, but so nice. Now I gave up coffee, practically, I have one after lunch and a deca after dinner (Nespresso grade 9). No sweat at all. |

Lapsong Suchang tea is a black tea that should be brewed using freshly boiling water and steeped 3-4 minutes.
Personally, as this is a very smokey (as in camp fire smokey) tea, I find it most enjoyable on cold rainy afternoons. Not a wake-up-in-the-morning sort of drink, and not an everyday tea. But when the weather is nasty, out comes the Lapong Suchang tea! Stitchawl |

We have treated ourselves to a bottle of Krug - 1995. Champers and chocolate dipped strawberries are on the table right now!
97% out of a possible 100%... I used two fingers on a break lever on one turn instead of all four fingers.... ![]() ![]() Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 11-17-2010 at 02:59 AM. |
