Sigh. It was my first solution, which I deleted. Had everything explained, even the coughs and so on. I even mentioned that pooh always kept saying "it was the penguin wot done it." But the presence of 7 butlers on the stage made me think that pshrynk was never actually murdered and that the murder victim was the cabbie (which he was). Too bad, if I had stopped thinking a bit earlier I would have sent the correct answer.

Anyone noticed that mtraveller's and neko's accounts didn't match? I thought at first it was a clue, but it was probably just a mistake. Neko says that pshrynk was holding the jar and dropped it, and she even told the butler to clean, while mtraveller said he left seeing Neko holding the jar over pshrynk's head.

People also keep coming and going, while Zelda thinks she's trapped (why would she be trapped inside, I never got that). And she seems to think that Pshrynk/Jeeves opened the door for Rock Lobster, which can't be right, he was following her all night, wasn't he?

And by the way, how did Lobster know about the body in the library anyway?

At one time I thougt: there're just too many of them shady butlers. What's the matter there. But then I got distracted by the lovely, but unscrupulous miss Zelda.........lost.

I'll do the washing up after the chicken feast, as I'm a vegetarian, or I will peel the patatoes.

Did the butler do it?
Ask pilotbob who did it.

That's why I choose DaleDe. He is the only (OK, except pilotbob) who didn't said: "My name is Jeeves. Always has been. Jeeves. At your service." at the murder scene.

That's what I thought it said. Meaning pilotbob knew about Pshrynk's dastardly intentions.

Can you explain how Zelda was able to recall events from all of the timelines while no one else could?

Solve that mystery and you will have your killer. Of course, killing and eating a chicken is in no way illegal or immoral. Sorry ole chap if you disagree.

I also was wrong. I guessed Florence..

Why? Because the last pshyrnk body was in a pool of ink, and she left a smear of ink on Zelda's hand when she said goodbye to go to the library. The same place where pshyrnk was murdered. I also thought the clue left in the books was to ask pshyrnk (since the scribbled notes could also of read to ask him, not just pilotbob). He said that a female tried to hit him in the library.

So, I thought that Flornece tried to hit him in the library and when it did not work out the first time tried again. She also left pretty quickly so had no alibi and no one said they saw her with pshyrnk so there was no proof she did not do it.

I guess I totally missed any clues that pilotbob did it. Regardless, it was very enjoyable to try to figure out! Thanks!

Did anyone get it right?

[yes - we had multiple winners]
[all winners' hands will be tested for the presence of chicken grease - which will automatically disqualify you and your prize will be given to BOb]
[BOb lied again - it IS illegal to cook & eat chickens whilst on MobileRead property]
[Just can't trust what that BOb says, can you?]
