I noticed a bit of confusion over the exact deadline for entry submissions in the different time zones. Please go ahead and send in your entries - even if you think you might have missed the deadline for your own time zone. It gets a bit confusing (my today is your tomorrow!) so let us do the math for you. You don't want to miss the chance to dazzle us with your brilliant reasoning, do you?

If I'm reading it right, we all should be able to submit our entries SIMULTANEOUSLY and still meet the deadline, right, just so long as it is by 11:59 p.m. November 14, 2010, Eastern Standard Time? So nobody really has to do it earlier than any other person, it's just that the deadline of Sunday night for me might be Monday afternoon for SS...

Or am I thinking about this all wrong?

You see why setting deadlines for international communities is fraught with fits of screaming - - yes, you are right. Nobody has to send in entries earlier than anyone else. Hence my post encouraging members in ALL time zones not to and give up!

Please - everyone - if time zone calculations confuse you, give it your best shot and send in your entry! Don't disqualify yourself!

Maybe about an hour out from the deadline you should post a message saying, "ONE MORE HOUR, WHEREVER YOU ARE!!"

=>This might help in calculating the contest deadline in your part of the world. I can't vouch for the accuracy but it appears to account for daylight savings time. Times are for Sunday, November 14, 12:55 PM, EST.
