Is the timeline linear, in spite of appearances, or does it matter at all?

Am I overthinking it?

I've read and re-read, and I came to the conclusion that Phsrynk took his own life... He decided he wanted out, and the only way to do it was this...

I mean, could YOU stay with this group of nuts? (not sure if they're walnuts, hazelnuts, or peanuts...)

OK folks - getting down to the wire -

Don't overthink this story - there's a lot of references to MR members and anecdotes about them - you don't have to have ever known they exist to solve the mystery. Treat this like an Agatha Christie mystery - lots of wacko characters that try to draw your attention away from the actual clues.

When you have a story with multiple versions of the same murder, what/who stays the same in all of them? Who can you rule out?

I have always known there is some special quality, that distinguishes Greenhats from normal, everyday people. I just never realized (until now), that you just have to be completely and utterly insane, to get you shiny Green Hat. Or be ale to shot your eyebrow exactly 1/8" up. Probably both...
