Thumbs up Can I just say....

I love my iPad. I do 90% of my computing on it.

My kids use it for games & reading. I use it for reading, browsing, email, news, video. It's just such a great easy device to use.

That is fall. Feel free to chime in if you agree.

I have a love/hate relationship with your iPad. I think I'd love it but your kids are always using it and if they've not got it you're spending 90% of your computing time with it.

I never seem to get a chance to use it.

I feel the same way I felt with my first iMac, I had it set up in my bedroom I used it so much. Never had any PC gotten that type of reaction from me. Alas that iMac is gone to a friends daughter who needed a computer but couldn't afford one and I needed an excuse to get a Mac Pro . Now I think I'm on the Pad more because I take it with me to work and use it when ever our system runs slow (all the time) or I have free time like lunch and breaks.

I love the ease of iGadgets. I hate messing with tech. I just want stuff to work.

I'm looking forward to even better gadgets, from Apple or any other company.

For my needs, iPad is a great start. I love having all my books, music, e-mail and news on a device that I can easily take anywhere.

I know some will hate me for this but I love my iPad however I hate that I still have to use my net book because soo many web sites still use flash. Sorry Steve jobs but it has been over 6 months now and I still feel that the lack of flash support is a major handicap..... I know some of you will not admit it but it is true....

I don't hate ya, lol.

If I used Flash regularly, I would've waited for a tablet that supported Flash.

I haven't used my netbooks at all since I got an iPad. I gave 'em to family members so they could video Skype. I do wish video Skype were available on iPad, so I could see my young relatives in another time zone before they zonk out. As it is, I can video Skype 'em only during weekends, which isn't that convenient.

When I want more computing power, I use my laptop. I'm sticking with a laptop/tablet combo for the foreseeable future.

I must say I am awfully fond of my iPad. But I still need my netbook to do things like downloading ebooks and then deDRMing them.

I am surprised how little the lack of flash effects my web experience. With YouTube, Hulu and Netflix as apps, most everything is covered.

And I still prefer the portability of an eink reader for ebooks. I love my Sony 650.

^^^ Ditto. I find I really don't miss flash all that much on the iPad. The iPad has become my go to device for the vast majority of my internet/reading use.

Maybe I'm really clueless , but what meaningful difference is there between an iPad and an iPod Touch other than device size?

Besides the fact that size does matters a lot (some would say a swimming pool is a tad better than a bathtub): the ipad also has an ips screen, aluminium frame and depending on the model 3G

Please explain IPS screen as distinct from the iTouch's screen.

(If I'd wanted 3G, I'd have gotten an iPhone. )

I've also barely used my computer since I got this beauty. It does almost everything I need, in some cases even doing a better job (eg. maps).

In-plane switching LCDs are basically immune to the color shifting you see when viewing the more common twisted nematic LCD at an angle.

As a dedicated device it is awsome
