Battery Only Lasted 6 days...

I've been only reading a couple of books (about 300-ish page turns) in the past week since I bought my Kobo. I did a full charge (for about 6 hours) when I originally bought it on Nov. 4th.

With 200 page turns, a small amount of book browsing, one Wi-Fi download and 4 - 5 sideloads, I am not sure this was optimal. I thought it was supposed to last 2 weeks. My Wi-Fi is off and sleep is operating as it should. I didn't ever power down, though. Is it possible that the next firmware upgrade will improve the battery life to what Kobo advertises?

That would be two weeks reading I would assume. active Wifi use would chew up battery power quickly.

Actually with the WIFI they have cut that back to 10 days (or 10,000 page refreshes) rather than 2 weeks. I still think they are really exaggerating battery life more than is fair. If they are saying 10,000 page refreshes under "ideal test conditions" I would expect to get at least 7,000 and I'm not sure anyone is getting close to that (I know I'm not). I doubt the new firmware will improve it at all.

My understanding is that the very first charge/discharge cycle on a new unit isn't particularly indicative of what you can expect to get long term.

See how much life you're getting after you've charged it up a couple more times.
