I commute to work on the London Underground. One needs to be prepared for any eventuality down there

(The first aid stuff is plasters for blisters and small cuts, cleansing wipes and a support bandage (I have a very weak ankle), the torch comes in handy if there's a powercut but also for peering under desks, and the knife is just an all-round useful tool)

"Plasters" = bandages. I love the different terms used! If I asked my daughter to get the torch and the plasters, I would get the strangest look!
