Before the last new show, Eureka commercials were hawking it as the mid-season finale. My brother-in-law and I both talked about it because we had never heard of a 'mid-season finale' before. But they did give a few preview hints for the second half of the season, so that must mean it's still around.

AAAGGGHHH!! Having a really bad day. Melora and Toryn are both still improving, and the roof part is fixed, though the inside is not. No, this bad day is just a lot of little irritations. I'm tired of being yelled at at work for things that are beyond my control. I want to yell back at people who complain about things that I can't do anything about, instead of smiling sweetly and telling them I sympathize, when I don't... when I think they're being utter morons.
I'm tired of being blamed for poor customer service when I don't have the people available to offer the best customer service. Both the customers and my bosses land on ME, and for fear of my job (which I need, unfortunately), I can't tell my boss that if she wants perfect customer service, she's going to have to hire the people to provide it. The fact that I have six people in every lane, and have had six people in every lane and every available person including members of management running a register for hours, because everyone in town decided to do their holiday meal shopping at once means that sometimes we're going to have no one to get carts, and they're all going to pile up outside, both because management didnt' budget for the extra help we need, and because customers are too lazy to grab a cart on their way into the store. Get a freakin' clue, people.

Boy, can I relate.

To everything.......needing the job, cutback by management to save a few bucks creating unhappy customers, and trying to please the 'unpleaseable'.

Never mind.....take a hot bath, make a cup of tea, and go to your happy place.......

Finally got a job........... at McDonalds. I only applied there because I am desperate and a little money is better than NO money. Sheesh, I don't know what makes me feel worse, being unemployed or having a job a MickyDs.

And how the F*** does 5 people vote in a district with 1 (one) registered voter? That happened around here yesterday. Now you just know the state is going to be crawling all over everything and we'll be hearing about this forever.

IMHO, having a job, almost any job, is better. Too many people refuse to accept a job and keep staying at home doing nothing. Kudos to you for getting out there and getting something

Good for you. Any honest job is nothing to be ashamed of, but to be proud of until something better comes along, and it will come along.

I have to admit that overall I feel better about myself. I have been getting depressed lately, to the point of crying over stupid things. I actually felt useful last week when my father-in-law was in the hospital, and had to go over there every day.

I slept better last night than I have in a while. Thank goodness.
