And in honor of the holiday, I also often worked " graveyard shift". I didn't like that as much. Sunlight in your eyes when driving home, and such.

besides being in daylight would interfere with your otherwise flawless pasty white northwest complexion! (there's some sunglasses to help with the morning commute!)

However you twist it, daylight just isn't long enough to last an entire working day. Might as well get at least some daylight in the morning...

When you live as far north as Britain, there would really be no point in year-round DST; in winter the days are so short (about 7-8h of daylight) that, no matter how you arrange things, it's going to be dark in the mornings and the evenings.

It is obvious, isn't it?
Putting clock back and force is against natural body clock.
Got owl type in spring. Forcing myself to wake up one hour earlier, causing me much distress and discomfort for about two following the move weeks.

I truly hate it

isn't it funny how the one hour change is so much more difficult than a big change of several hours when you are traveling?

Memory serves me correctly, it was the night shift when the politics came out - like vampires and ghouls....
