Lit to Iliad?
Is it possible to convert "lit" format books to something that
the iLiad can read? Jerry |

ABC Amber LIT Converter worked wonderfully for me.
It's a freeware: http://www.processtext.com/abclit.html |

You can convert unprotected .lit files on your iLiad automatically here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?p=103393

chapters ( at least for the book I converted...) The ordering went 1, 11,12,13,,,2, 21, 22,23,24, 3,4,5,6... I found a "clit" for the Mac on the Convert Lit site, It pops the lit file into a directory of htmls and some other stuff. I was able to get a readable book by pointing Acrobat at the the contents.html file....(with the chapters in the right order). It also appeared that Lit converter only produced 8.5x 11.x sized pdf pages which give microscopic sized font sizes in the iLiad. --Jerry |

What does the converter convert to? and what are the page sizes generated? Ie does the conversion give something that is readable without requiring a microscope ![]() Jerry |

The Automatic .Lit extractor runs ConvertLIT to explode (DRM-free) LIT to OEB (HTML with an OPF file). This can then be read directly by FBReader.
If you instead run ConvertLIT on a PC, then there are two good options: a) zip all the resulting files and rename the .zip to .oebzip, or b) use mobigen.exe to convert to a MOBI file. FBReader will read an OEBZIP file, and both FBReader and the MobiPocket Reader will read a MOBI file. The mobigen.exe command should have the form: Code:
mobigen.exe file.opf -c1 -s0 -jpeg |

FBReader lets you set your font size and re-flow the pages, so you shouldn't have any trouble there.
