Yeah - in the South, night-occurring (after midnight) storms & tornadoes are real killers - no way to warn folk.

Yikes! We just got an upgrade in my county from Tornado Watch to Tornado Warning, with instuctions to "go to your safe place." I'm watching the radar and it looks as if it is moving south of me, so hopefully we're okay here.

Low pressure in itself is not a problem, it's what surrounds it that is more of an issue....(excepting tornadoes and the like)

The winds have been and continue to be a force to reckon with today! We've had no damage so far. I have a couple dead trees that I would love for the wind to bring down (without crashing them into the barn or cars) but they're still standing... swaying, but standing. We could use the firewood! I was amazed to see a very heavy wrought iron patio chair blown off of the deck.

They came out and basically tied down the tarp on the outside better, but can't do much else til this wind stops.
I'm just completely ignoring the back room for now, since there's nothing I can do to help the situation until they get the outside part fixed.

First round of storms over. I've bungee-corded everything outside to a tree and cleared the deck - before round 2 gets here at 3 am.

We're down to 42 degrees F and the wind is still whipping! Turned the furnace on for the first time and enjoying a nice fire in the fireplace (one of my favorite parts of the season).
