Right now, getting back from an extremely busy weekend involving about 10 hours of driving time, a few soccer tournament games, and three performances for the kids in a show.

Now I'm catching up on book review requests, reading the book I'm currently reading (and wondering once again why people don't get their indie books edited by SOMEONE who knows about commas and apostrophes... and complete sentences).

It's because it spawns a process for pretty much everything it does. This tab and freedesktop.org = 45 processes. Fast but at what price?

Chris says it's the law of probability. I say the publishers have a conspiracy against me. There are some select authors that I will drop everything and read their latest book the second I get my hands on it. With ebooks, that's usually at 12:02 a.m. on release day...(man, I love ebooks and the internet...instant gratification, anyone?). This is the first time that two of "my" authors have had releases on the same day. Even I can't read two books at the same time, LOL! Luckily for my sanity, one is a novella.
In case anyone's curious, the releases are Shirley Rousseau Murphy's latest in the Joe Grey series, and Jim Butcher's Side Jobs, which includes a novella set hours after the cliffhanger ending of Changes.
The other new release I'm planning to pick up on Tuesday is Yasmine Galenorn's latest in the Sisters of the Moon series, Harvest Hunting.

Good thing I just finished up my final for my latest class, hmm? Next week is free....but I know what I'll be doing. Well, besides waiting for a phone call from a daughter in labor....

I don't know the other two, but I like Butcher's "Dresden Files" series.
I think Simon Green's "NightSide" series is better,however.

I know what you're going through, though.

They just released 4 ebooks by favorite authors of mine.
It's got me twitching trying to decide what to read first.

I think I like Dresden over Nightside, but I really enjoy both.

He insists on sleeping on his back, body in bed, head resting on the floor.
Right next to the head of my bed.

It must be a blokey thing. The overweight rotty dog (now deceased), used to snore like mad loudly through a thick door.

Bloke and the cat(a bloke cat) snore. I sometimes wake up in the crossfire.

I never hear myself snore.
