Well the only music I might be able to get away with legally might be if I asked my nephew if I could post his music and he said yes I could. Otherwise, I don't have any that would be legal to post at the moment.

I have a standing policy to tip musicians who play in public places (provided that I like the music). I like to encourage the arts, and it makes for a nicer experience while waiting for a train or enjoying a tea or whatever. I extended this policy to CommanderROR, because I like Bach and I like violin music, and this seemed to be the equivalent of a public place. If he wants to use this money to take his GF out for dinner, I'm all in favor.

That being said, I probably can't afford to do the same for everyone on MobileRead, even if you all suddenly become professional-quality musicians and post your work here. But I figured I'd explain my reasoning.

If dinner is at McDonalds, there should be enough for some wine left over.

Not that we don't eat at McDonalds sometimes, it's just not something that counts as "Dinner"... ^^

My advice is to save it for a Kindle. I'm sure there's some technicality, maybe some overly concerned publishers who want to see this work for a period first, that forces both Sony and Amazon to ignore the rest of the world. But it is surely only temporary. On second thought, dinner with your girl sounds great and when the Kindle is available in your neck of the woods you could post some more music for us to help you get it.

Well, actually I should be able to afford the Kindle on my own by then...there is a small inheritance coming my way, not much, but it should be enough for a Kindle and some computer upgrades...
