Medical Textbooks on the iPad

Has anyone tried them on the iPad? Could you give your reviews regarding ease of use and eye strain? Does it support .pdf and .chm files?

Regards.

I use "CHMate" to read CHM files, and I'm pretty happy with it (opens books quickly, easy to use). You can download a free app first to see how you like it (it will only allow you to add one book). You transfer the books to it via iTunes.

For PDF files, I use "GoodReader", for me it's the best (easy to use, can download books off the cloud) and now it allows you to annotate and highlight. It also has a free app that you can use to test how you like it.

I use the app Papers for scientific books in PDF form. Works perfectly.

Hi, I am new to the whole concept of a medical textbook in electronic form, and have just downloaded hundreds for free and am looking for the best way to read them. I am thinking to buy an ipad. I downloaded calibre...is CHMate better for the ipad? I am suffering from information overload at present.
