What's the issue with "the crowd"? One should base their ebook reader purchase on their needs/wants. If their needs/wants are similar to "the crowd", then great", if not, there are many other choices and one is bound to be a good fit. |

I would not ignore a reader if it fit my needs just because a lot of other people have one.

Tubemonkey, I'm glad you mentioned the library. I have a Sony (900) and I get a lot of my books from the library. If you have access to library epub books, that might sway you to a Sony (or any other epub reader).
I love my Sony, my husband loves his Kindle. ![]() |

I've posted a few minor rants about the Nook before. I've been using it instead of my K3 the past few days and the main thing that comes to mind is "Holy crap did the battery life indicator just drop 25% in the last 15 minutes!?"
If you really want a Nook and there's a chance that B&N is coming out with a Nook 2 before the holidays, I'd wait. |

I'm currently borrowing (again) a Sony 300 and love the library option. Though I'm mostly into audiobooks (via Sansa Clip+), I still like checking out ebooks. After all, they're free.
