At least keeping track of 6 omnibus editions is easier than keeping track of all the individual books since the Kindle won't keep them in chronological order for me!

Watch out, Memory is not part of these omnibus editions, so you have to buy it separately if you want the full complement.

Check out Wikipedia :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorkosi...mnibus_Volumes

I've confirmed it based on the descriptions on the Baen / Webscription website.

If you buy the first printing of her latest, Cryoburn, it includes a CD-ROM with ALL her Vorkosigan books in ebook form, as well as The Vorkosigan Companion and some other goodies.

Oh, except for Memory, for some reason. Not sure why. But it's a heck of a deal if you don't already have them, which I do.

I wonder if Dahak will offer the CD as a download at Fifth Imperium?

Yes... He can speak up for himself, but he earlier said that when it becomes generally available, he'll post it on his site.

Normally the print books associated with a Webscriptions month (usually hardcover) are released on the first of the month, but Cryoburn (November 2010) was released last week. Lois was signing books locally on Saturday, but I didn't try to get her to sign my Nook. One of the few ways where ebooks are not a suitable replacement for print.

Dahak has already said elsewhere that he will be putting up the Cryoburn CD (there's a picture of it on his site) when the hardcover is generally available. He recently put up the CD for Eric Flint's 1635: The Eastern Front, which was part of the October Webscription.

One suggestion I've seen on another board for getting around this is to bring a colour printout of the book cover on nice cardstock, have the author sign that, and then scan and insert the signed version as the cover for your e-book (or as a screensaver). That way you've got a nice physical memento to pass on to the grandkids, plus a nifty personalization of your e-book purchase, too.

As for me, I'm glad I opted to pre-order the hardcover. I would have gotten it eventually anyway to go with the rest of my LMB paper books, but it's really nice to get a bonus CD full of the titles I've already bought, too, for more portable reading.

I'm jealous -- she's one of my favorite authors! I totally would have gotten her to sign my Kindle, or at least sign the cover. (Okay, maybe not the Oberon, but another cover!)

Superb.

I purchased Cryoburn ARC (reading it now) recently and a couple of the omnibus editions as part of webscriptions. The older books I have as paperbacks.

It would be nice to own all the Miles saga in ebook format.

Thanks to all the Bujold fans here, I was convinced to stay with the series after my complaints about the "Romance Novel" aspects of especially the first book, "Shards of Honor". I'm glad I did. Currently reading "The Warrior's Apprentice" and really enjoying it and have already picked up most the the omnibus books including "Cryoburn" from November's webscription. I'll still pick up a copy of the CD just to have nearly everything in one place.

One of the cool things of the series is that it really is multi-dimensional. Unlike say Honor Harrington which is all fairly straight forward military Sci-Fi/Space Opera (well the novels, some of the shorter fiction is not), the Vorkosigan series can run the gambit from romance, military sci-fi, action/space opera, mystery, etc. If anything, the series is probably drifting more often towards mysteries than anything else (well you never know, I haven't read Cryoburn yet.).
