I don't see any capitalization there...?

I have a few different modes of writing, and since I use my "professional" writing skills all day long, I tend to be much more informal on MR... my writing on boards resembles how I speak. How I speak when I'm not in my professional mode, that is. Which I'm not in right now. Obviously.

(and my professional job has nothing to do with my hobby of reviewing books)

Yep, I do the same thing. I tend to see (hear?) forum discussions as conversations in my head, rather than written communications. Consequently, I tend to write in forums more like I speak, with slangy terms like yep, gonna, wanna, and even: 'cause (with the apostrophe, of course). And I don't object to such terms being used in books, when they're part of the dialogue or character-appropriate inner monologue. Commas, though? Gotta get 'em right, 'cause punctuation errors throw the reader out of the story, and noboby wants that.

Geoff was referring to the incorrect apostrophe in "it's". A possessive "its" does not have an apostrophe.
