I travel with a small tea infuser and loose leaf tea for the hotel. It does make life sooo much better.

I finished my fourth pot of tea and had a Yogurt Smoothie. Yummy

yeah, I've had some truly awful hotel coffee. now that most American hotels have coffee pots in the rooms, or at least in the common area, you can get hot water. makes the day a lot better. traveling for work is stressful enough

Agreed. I used to use my infuser on the airplane but that was a bit of a pain in the wazoo. I like to make my own tea bags when I have time. Teavana sells tea bags that you can fill on your own. I think those would work well for coffee and might help travelers get around the need to carry their own tea press.

I've found the smaller french pressed to be very simple to use. I've never used them on an airplane, but then again, barring cross oceanic travel I don't drink coffee while traveling. when I do travel trans oceanic it seems that the airlines can manage at least one thing right... coffee... usually

I use 'self-loading' tea bags all the time. I can get some very nice ones here in Japan (every supermarket sells them,) so no 'paper taste' at all. On Sunday mornings I sit at the table after breakfast filling bags with Taylors of Harrogate's 'Yorkshire tea,' their 'Breakfast' tea, Fortnum & Mason's 'Royal Blend' and 'English Breakfast tea,' and some Keemun tea from The Baltimore Tea Co. All of these get stored in their own air tight tins that I bought at the 100 Yen Shop. My other loose-leaf teas will go into an infuser when I get the urge to drink them.
