Question First ebook purchase!
Hello to all mobileread members. I found this site while researching ebook readers before buying one for the first time. I am probably more confused than ever right now and would appreciate any recommendations. I have been looking at the Kindle 3 and also the Kogan...the 1500 free books make it an attractive option. The Kindle is going for about $295 on Australian Ebay but I could get one from Amazon in America for $189 or $139 for the smaller one. Not sure what the postage would be though... probably $40-$50.
I want a user friendly ereader that won't cost me a fortune. I am looking forward to hearing any recommendations.

Hi gumleaf and welcome to MobileRead. I've had a Sony 505 for over two and a half years and really like it. And the new ones seem to have a much improved screen.
