We use a cafetiere pot to make our coffee in, some grains escape the sieve when the coffee is poured into the cups/mugs. Dregs are these little annoying grains plus a little coffee liquid in the base of the cup. |

As I got down to the last sip of my last mug of coffee yesterday, I noticed something black floating in it, which I assumed was a clump of coffee grounds. It wasn't. It was a house fly. Yuck. I probably drank a whole mug of fly poo.

Rooibos Capetown (hibiscus blossoms, rose, blue mallow, rooibush)
Yummy. Happy Friday! The posted tea table is correct, at least based on everything I have read at various tea sites. I don't know why the more processed teas have higher caffiene levels, I have simply rea that they do. My husband and I grow lots of different spicy peppers in our backyard. When we dehydrate the peppers they become a great deal spiceier then then they are used fresh. Could it be a similar chemical reaction with tea? The processing of the black and Oolongs leads to more water being removed from the leaf which concontrates the caffiene content? Stitchawl I would love to try some of that tea. I have a variety of green teas at my desk. Bancha, Sencha, Genmaicha, Gyokuro Imperial, Three Kingdoms Mao Feng. I love me some good green tea. My most recent purchase was a White Earl Grey which I was surprised at how much I liked. It had the Earl Grey flavor but was much lighter then a black Earl Grey. Of which I have three types at my desk. Last edited by ProfCrash; 10-08-2010 at 09:54 AM. |

ooooh boy, I've got some stories about things getting in my coffee.
Boiled geckos and frogs add interesting 'slimy/soapy' tastes to your morning brew. Flies are a pain too - I have to be careful after I've added the frothed cream (yes, cream, not milk) to my coffee, the shiny bubbles seem to draw the flies in and if I turn away for 5 seconds I can be sure one of them falls in. Naturally I CANNOT drink the coffee so I have to start the whole process again (stove top moka pot). :GRRR: |

Resteeped pot of Roobos Capetown. Still yummy.
I don't have to worry about flies in my tea but I do have to worry about paper clips. A co-worker is chucking them at my desk. |
