Gaahhhhh!! I need a job! Haven't worked regularly since mid-June, last paycheck was in August. I have had a little bit of temp work, but that totals about 3 1/2 weeks.

Mrs Coach,

You've got my sympathy. I work for myself - this time of the year seems to always be the absolute worst for income, there's been weeks where we've had to forgoe food shopping

It was weird; I quit the best job I ever had and moved to one of the parts of this country where the unemployment was the worst but then bought a house (no income, disabled wife) and took 18 months off (intentionally; the "best" job was also one where I was overworked, but loved it...but still overworked)...then about 9 months into my 18 month vacation, I started going stir-crazy and then realized the spot I left us in..never had a hard time getting a gig in the past and it took almost six months to find suitable work...I was starting to worry and the outlook around here hasn't improved since then..I was starting to consider some weird work and in Las Vegas, "weird" takes on a whole new meaning...

I've got to go buy a girl mouse for my Mac.

All the boy mice seem to get dirty balls and then they just don't work correctly any more.... harumph!

Do what I do.

Remove its ball, wipe gently, blow into the hole to get the dust out, and re-insert.

Bet it will be a long time before your mouse allows its ball to get dirty again!

I won't be blowing mouse balls any time soon. It's just not my style. Besides... the mighty mouse's ball isn't really that easy to remove. The ball is on the top (scroll ball) not on the bottom.

Aaah, another blistering damned hot day today here in the Australian tropics - can someone come over here and paint the roof and outside of the house with highly reflective paint... kthx !

(either that or someone organise to sell a few thousand copies of our book so we can then pay someone to do the work

Ok, so I understand I'm lucky to have a job at all in this economy. But tonight, I could just cry. Two cashiers (one was me) and one customer service person in tears tonight.. IN A THREE HOUR TIME SPAN!! All from rude customers. This is NOT normal; most of the time I love people and I like my job well enough, but tonight....

Whoever the idiot was that said, "The customer is always right" should be drawn and quartered.
