I am currently reading Soul Music by terry Pratchett. It is #16 in the Discworld series.

I agree. The scariness is in the atmosphere generated by the writing and the images described. Sure the writing style is a bit overblown - but it is great fun.

I've been reading mostly travel guides for the past month on vacation, but yesterday on a long rainy train ride from Budapest to Prague, I re-read Pratchett's Reaper Man. It is my favorite so far.

I believe the next one for me is Lords and Ladies.
