When Do You Read?
After asking where people read and in what position, I figure I'll ask a simple question: when do you read?
I usually find myself grabbing my ereader in the evenings once everything's done. It's my reward for a long day of being unemployed. I also find myself using it as a stress reliever after I visit the DMV. On the weekends though, I get up bright and early to read sort of like I did with Saturday morning cartoons as a kid. How about you? |

I read when I get home from work, after working out, on my days off and before going to bed. Pretty much anytime that I just want to relax and have a good read.

Being not so wonderfully unemployed I usually read in the morning and then in the evening when hubby monopolizes the laptop and then again right before I go to sleep.

My favorite time to read is at night in bed snuggled up with my kittles and a cuppa until I can't keep my eyes open anymore
![]() I sometimes have a hard time reading during the day. I feel guilty like I should be doing something more constructive like cleaning the house or weeding the garden. (This is on the weekend of course because I have to work during the week.) However, give me a choice of cleaning the house or reading and guess which one wins? Needless to say, my house is usually quite untidy and the garden is full of weeds, ha! |

Most of my reading is when I'm eating, just before going to bed, and whenever I'm killing time, like in a doctor's waiting room, etc. Occasionally, I'll get into a really good book and then I'll start reading it every chance I can make.

I read any chance I get! When the weather's nice and I have a little free time, I love to sit outside on our deck and read. When I'm at work, I read during my lunch while eating. I also read after I crawl into bed for the evening--like mish this usually is only a short time before I start nodding off. And now that I have an e-reader, I pull it out whenever I'm standing in line anywhere and read for a few minutes. Sometimes I'll prop my reader up on stand on the treadmill and read while exercising.

I like to read before bed unless I'm reading horror. I also read during commercials when I'm watching TV. But my absolute favorite time to read is during the day (weekend) when it's raining outside. Heavenly!

Usually in the evenings, when the husband is curled up with professional wrestling or The History Channel. But only if I don't have work to do.

Mornings (9ish to elevenses)
Afternoons, can be any time after nap until wife gets home after 5. Evenings, Wife heads to bed about 8, I often read till 11. How much depends on how good the current book is. If its really good, I'll be reading by 8 am, and staying up till past midnight. |

Way too much?
![]() Once I get hooked on a book or author, I read non-stop, even when I shouldn't, as in on/off all night & day as long as I can stay awake. I try not to start them unless I'm going to be under the weather for awhile, then when I finish/get better, I play catch-up on all the things I let slide... until the next time. ![]() |
