exactly what he said. I never read with my cover on at home, and always have it on when I am out in public

Black Dragon has landed

Spoiler:

Will try to take some better pics this weekend in natural light. These pics do not do the detail justice. Just a stunning cover.

MobileFun doing 2 Oberon designs

OK so it is only 2 designs and one colour of each, but it is a start in getting distribution beyond the USA. They are £89.00 which sounds like a lot of money but:-

£89.00 = $141.00 (as of today's rate on xe.com)

Buying Direct:-

$69.00 + USPS Express Mail (not sure if this is tracked, but it is quite a valuable item so I haven't gone for the cheapest option) at $33.30 = $102.50

Last time I got something by USPS (from Etsy) worth about $30.00 I got whacked for import fees/VAT of £11.50 ($18.25) (which was a Kindle case BTW)

So assuming it is proportional to the declared value of the item, lets make the fees and duty a nice round $30 (could be more). That comes to $132.50

Which is nearly twice as much as the value of the case itself.

Now I know you aren't saving any money by getting it from MobileFun - but you are saving the hassle.

If you choose to ship by UPS it starts at $65.99 just for the shipping

Plus if you think the standard Amazon case is £30.00 or $47, then the Oberon case is so much prettier for the money ......

I have the Red Sky Dragon for my K1 and love it. I have the Purple Sun for my DXG and like it. I can see myself replacing the Purple Sun in about 6 months.

It looks beautiful, Oak Iris. You and your Kindle both will look luxurious in it. Have fun, flash it around casually etc.
And as for money.....if my mother didn't have any when I was young; she said ' let's buy a book to cheer us up.

I haven't received any shipping notice yet from Oberon, how come?? j/k - I know they have to make it first and specify that there is a 2-3 day lead time. I should be receiving my Kindle on Friday (while I'm at work ) and hope to get the cover early next week. I am sure my Kindle will wear the cover proudly and even if my eReader rarely leaves the house, I will certainly enjoy it and my luxurious cover!

Books do indeed light up the day; I share your mother's sentiment, as, I am sure, do you.

They have a catalogue? I need to check that out.

On second thought, no, I don't. I do NOT need to check that out. Too tempting. I don't need another one. Right? Right?
