Doesn't everyone? I'm always telling people if they can't decide between two of anything, buy them both (and do so myself). It avoids the problem of regretting later for not buying the one that wasn't chosen.

And, of course, it simply would not do to use a white reader past Labor Day and before Easter.

All seriousness aside, different readers work best in different situations and/or with different kinds of e-books (no one e-book will read all kinds of e-books unless DRM stripping and conversion is employed). I use my JBL when away from the house (and will carry a recently acquired spare on trips in case the one I'm using goes belly up on me). At home, I find it far more convenient to read on my 32" TV patched into my TV. I use calibre's viewer for true e-books (mostly e-pub) and Adobe Acrobat to read my scanned, image only e-books.

No guilt.

Sure, there are plenty of people worse off than I am. That's what donations, volunteer work, and doing others a good turn are for. Doesn't keep me from enjoying my gadgets. Heck, people get to work because I spend.

The only thing that would make me feel bad about buying would be carrying credit card debt, which I refuse to do.

Highly sensible.

I also refuse to feel guilty for goods that I pay cold hard-cash for.

And if you have money it's your duty to spend it and create work for others And much healthier than spending on booze/tobacco/gambling.

I only have my kindle 3 WIFI. But I also have my netbook with kindle for pc, the nook reader, mobipocket reader, adobe digital reader, and adobe reader. So I can read just about any format or I can use calibre to convert the non-drm formats to mobi. I am not into removing drm so I try to stay legal.

I only have one e-reader, the Kindle 3. My next gadget purchase will be an iPad, just for fun.

I agree. I have a red 505 and a black 600. My red 505 replaced a broken blue 505. I was skeptical about the color being distracting, but I think it actually energizes my reading. If I succumb to the lure of the 650, and it's the same ruby red that the 505 was, I'd get it in red. If it's candy apple red like the 600, I'll stick to black.
