Hell, no living actor could match the raw talent of Claude Rains or Peter Lorre!

I couldn't agree with you more recluse. You simply cannot improve on perfection, and that is one perfect, perfect film. Bogey and Bacall were smokin' hot. I adore the old black and white classics. I loved watching Edward G. Robinson also who had a face only a mother could love, but he was brilliant. George Raft, a tough guy, and another favourite Ronald Colman. Bette Davis, Lana Turner, Veronica Lake. Ahhhh yes, you can't beat those great black and white movies and I'll never get tired watching them.

Mag.

Mag.
I agree completely. My fav noir guy was Robert Mitchum. Wow, I don't know if you saw the original Cape Fear, but he was ... terrifying. Way scarier than Robert DeNiro in the remake. Of course Mitch didn't get the girl to suck on his, uh, thumb. I doubt that would have passed the censors back then.

The original "Cape Fear" was a great movie!

I don't know why they cast DeNiro in Mitchum's role in the remake.
He's only 4' tall!
