I'm a german college student and very happy to be here ![]() I'm new to this ebook thing, just ordered my kindle 3, and I have some problems converting my Nietzsche-PDFs zu mobi with calibre! I googled a while, but found no satisfying solution. When I want to convert those files I get this message: Code:

I'm running the latest Mac OSX Snow Leopard and also the latest version of Calibre. Does someone know whats wrong? I googled the fontconfig-error, but then I read a post, where a developer said, that in the latest version of Calibre, this problem has already been solved. Which isn't the case here. Would be really nice if somebody could explain, whats wrong here! |

Simplest solution is to downgrade to 0.7.19 or wait until next week's release which will have the fix - i.e. 0.7.21. This should only affect books which have parentheses and possibly [] characters which are in hypenated strings on line breaks.
