Just to report back... I am so happy with my new reader. The 650 is what the 600 should have been. The worthy replacement of the 505.

I see many hours of reading with the 650 in my future, many happy hours of reading!!! Cheers!!!

You aren't alone ... no Sony stores here, no new ones at Target and the 350 just came in to the Best Buys, but they aren't going to put them out on display yet!!! Welcome to my readerless universe. My Best Buy didnt have any Kindles or nooks either. The nearest Sony Style is 32 traffic miles away.

Fortunately, I can be patient. Currently reading a library book anyway.

Bought PRS-350 from Bestbuy earlier today. They had few in stock along with Kindle 3G/wifi

Got it for my wife, now I have to decide whether to get another 350 or go for 650 for myself

I really liked the specs and pics of the 650 and 350, but fought very very hard not to order them, since it is a hassle now (I moved to Spain this summer, they don't sell them here yet, not even in the sonystyle online shop, have to order through Germany and wait for DH to do a weekly trip there and bring them back to me). Well, I just gave in and ordered the blue 350 and the red 650 since I could not make up my mind (and I have been thinking about this for a week, but still cannot decide whether the 350 or the 650 is best suited for my needs). I'll see which one I'll keep, and sell the other one here. Might also keep both though ...but then the Nook and 360 (the last ones on the long lists of readers I have owned) will have to go too!

It is just a pain really that there are no covers available here in Europe....

I had ordered my Red Light Cover with the rest of my stuff from SonyStyle.com and got the cover finally on Friday. It was the last thing to come in.

Well, at least Sony has some on offer in the US. NONE in Europe, not seen, nor offered, nor even mentioned anywhere. I guess they will have some here...a week before announcing the next generation after the 350/650/950. Mark my words...

I don't know about the rest of Europe, but in the Netherlands the covers are available via retail shops and webstores (for example bol.com dixons.nl)
