Re-casting Gone With the Wind!

If they did a remake of Gone with the Wind, who would you cast as ....

Scarlet O'Hara?

Rhett Butler?

Ashley Wilkes?

And any other characters you'd care to add ... .

My vote for Scarlet ... Bridget Fonda (don't tell me she's too old!)

for Rhett ... oooh, how about Johnny Depp?

Ashley Wilkes ... um, how about a pale and wan ... Steve Buscemi??

I say go with an all Twilight cast. As Scarlet that girl from Twilight. As Rhett that guy from Twilight (the vampire, not the werewolf.) As Ashley, whatshername-- Dakota Fanning. She was in one of the Twilight movies, I've heard. As Jonathan Frakes, still use Jonathan Frakes (oh, wait-- that's for the remake of North and South...)

for such a plethora of great casting decisions! I don't know Gerald Butler either, but Ed Norton choice is inspired. He's so good at playing shifty-eyed little ... whatevers. Why didn't I think of her? She's got ATTITUDE. Loved her in Chicago. But look I just cannot see Christopher Walken as Ashley Wilkes because he would read Scarlet The Three Little Pigs (see his video on YouTube) and she would die laughing.

Tommy Lee Jones. ... Hmm. Yeah, he's good at chasing people, but mostly guys, like Harrison Ford in the Fugitive. Oh wait, wasn't he chasing that nasty and extremely sexy bad guy with cow-poker or whatever the hell it was in No Country for Old Men?

Confession: I know nothing about the Twilight movies, haven't seen one, don't plan to.

Anybody wanna go for a remake of Casablanca?
